Two years ago our water pump broke, at that time I had a visitor Rosamond. We had literally no water and no rain. Rosamond had another week till she returned home and I was leaving for home the week after.

The nearest place for water was the local river so many journeys to the river with all staff and children carrying water on their head in large containers. Also our three donkeys were also recruited for the job. I contacted the water pump people who installed the original in 2010 after their assessment it was discovered we needed around £1200 for a new one and to have it installed. Of course this money was not available and certainly not in UK ether.

Rosamond and I also staff prayed that God would intervene as I could not leave for UK with people and children in Sunbeam having no water.

While chatting to my friend Natalie in Kisumu on the phone I told her what had happened, the next day she phoned asking for account details of KSM Kenya I thought she was joking and I passed it off, later her husband Tobias phoned asking for same information. Of course he convinced me it was serious and I had nothing to lose. A short time later I got a phone call saying a church in North Carolina USA was sending £1000 to pay for the new pump and my friend give the balance to pay for installation.

I did not know this church or these people, Natalie had put up a prayer request and this church was having a prayer meeting that night they felt God saying to buy the pump.

Within a week all was ordered and installation booked 2 days before I left for UK everything was in place and water flowing again.
